First started as an IT company, Originex has extended their business to lighting, lighting management systems products and industrial supplies. The lighting sector now accounts for 35% of their total business.
“The meetings are successful, thanks to the effort of the HKTDC’s Business Matching Team. Six out of nine suppliers met our requirements, I think there is room for us to further negotiate,” Mr Teo denotes.
At the Hong Kong International Light Fair (Spring Edition), Originex is looking at middle to low end LED products and solutions to meet different market demands. “Last year, our own LED business grew around 25 to 30%. LEDs are well accepted in the Malaysian market, and this sector increased by around 15 to 20%.”
