This is the first time we source overseas food items at the HK International Tea Fair 2015, we are really happy to get useful recommendation from HKTDC’s Business Matching Service. Tea is on my wish list and we are referred to two tea suppliers from Sri Lanka. One of them (Mabroc) is the 2nd largest producer in Sri Lanka with their own plantation. They have fruit flavored tea and herbal tea for diabetes control, which are not found in Thailand. Their price is reasonable (about 2 US$ for a box with 12 sachets) and has good potential for us. Another (Rumbini ) has black tea with spice flavor such as cinnamon tea and clove tea, which will be attractive to our market too. We are as well looking for snacks. A company (Shinong Agriculture) with dried blueberry and cranberry are still new to Thailand consumers while another good supplier (Colour Brands) from US with peanuts, snacks and drinking gel also prospective for us.
