With the department store business becoming more competitive in our region, together with our plan to start an online business, we are looking for better enterprise solutions to replace our in-house developed one. Being unfamiliar with information technology, we are truly grateful to have the HKTDC Business Matching Service connectus with various IT companies at the Hong Kong International ICT Expo 2017. I have identified a few potential partners. Two of them specialising in portal designhave suitable products for us, while another mainland company showed us their portal design for a shopping mall comparable to our operation. Three other companies also suggested marketing of our malls via smartphone. These are indeed innovative ideas to us who are only used to operating brick-and-mortar stores. Though my first trip here, I found it really eye-opening and fruitful.
