We are a trader of international foods that has been in business for 20 years. We import from 20 countries and supply to 110 distributors and some 10,000 to 20,000 outlets across India, including retailers, supermarkets, hypermarkets and convenience stores. I have come to the Food Expo 2018 to look for high-value healthy food for upper middle- to high-end consumers, including organic and gluten-free food which are driving market growth. With the help of the HKTDC Business Matching team, I have found a few companies that I am going to work with. I am about to place an order with a Sri Lankan vendor for a container of oats (for US$30,000). And I will likely order one container of chocolates (EUR60,000-65,000) from a Polish vendor after sorting out import regulations. I find the Expo interesting and will come back again.
