WOODZ is a fashion eyewear brand in Brazil with a focus on environmental friendliness. Currently, we are selling through our own online platform. In visiting the Hong Kong Optical Fair for the first time, I want to source sunglasses and eyeglass frames made of wood or eco-friendly materials. With the meticulous arrangement of HKTDC’s Business Matching Team, I was able to visit 10 suppliers of my choice in a short period of time. The meetings were highly successful, so much so that I had succeeded in identifying several suppliers with whom I hope to build a long-term partnership. The quality of the on-site exhibits was very high and, if the cost works out, I might spend as much as US$200,000 in purchasing products. Hong Kong Optical Fair is considerable in scale and the products on display are comprehensive in range, including eyeglass frames made from buffalo horns which have taken the marketplace by storm. I am very satisfied with my visit this time and will definitely come again next year tosource different products to enrich our brand portfolio.
