Weare an eyewear retailer with five outlets in Istanbul in Turkey and are also adistributor nationwide. This is my second time in visiting Hong Kong OpticalFair and my intention is to buyfashionable glass frames, sunglasses and contact lenses. In recent years,thick, large and round steel glass frames are all the rage and I have come across many new products likethat in the fair. Such products should help enhance the competitiveness of mybrand. With the help of HKTDC staff, I have already exchanged more than 50 namecards in less than two days. The exhibits on display are high in quality andvery competitive in prices. Some exhibitors are even offering a small orderoption which is a wise move in a volatile market. I have already identified suppliersfrom Thailand, the Chinese mainland and Taiwan and am very satisfied with thissourcing trip. I must mention that the HKTDC personnel providing businessmatching service are very patient and have even played the role of on-siteinterpreter to help me learn the distinctive characteristics of each exhibitorand understand the products in depth. This is why this fair is irreplaceableand why I have set aside around US$100,000 for making purchases.
