The company puts great emphasis on function, design and originality in the 50 to 100 new products it creates each year through its own research and development and with selected suppliers. DoggyMan has also set up an office in Vietnam as well as a related company in Shanghai to support its sourcing efforts.
Aspiring to find more innovative pet products for its brands, DoggyMan joined the hktdc.com Buyer Meetings arranged during the HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair 2011.
One-stop Matching Solution“The information provided by the HKTDC before the fair enabled me to study the background of referred suppliers prior to my visit,” said Masahiko Uei, Division Manager of DoggyMan. “This made me feel at ease with their capability and I could also get the most out of my time spent at the fair.”
“After meeting with the suppliers, I spotted one Hong Kong pet toy manufacturer that offered innovative products with high quality.” He added that while the price of a product is important to the company, “uniqueness and creativity are most pivotal.” Within a short period of time, DoggyMan had ordered one container of functional toys for dog from the manufacturer. Mr Uei said DoggyMan is always looking out for longterm business partners.
“To find a trust-worthy supplier is not easy. The pet product supplier which the HKTDC identified is excellent,” he said. “We are now developing more styles with this supplier, and I hope we can build up an enduring business relationship.”
